Pirin Golf & Country Club held one of the its major tournaments on May 8th -Pirin Golf President’s Cup. We celebrated the St. George Holiday weekend with our friends and organized three tournaments, a perfect way to spend good time with people you love.
Many of the guests celebrated St. George Day, they had the chance to taste roast lamb in Half Way House, the enthusiastic golfers joined them after the end of the tournament. The format of the event held on May 6th was Scramble Stable ford, two players per team. The golfers were motivated to show their best in the competition.
First place with 53 points won the team of Slav Sariyski—a multiple winner at Pirin Golf & Country Club and Ivan Trifonov, followed by Nevyan and Ivana Simeonovi.
45 golfers took part in the President’s Cup tournament, among them were five representatives of the ladies and juniors. The Saturday weather was a bit gloomy and rainy with changes in the temperature throughout the whole day. Nevertheless, the participants showed enthusiasm and played until the end. Nikolay Stanev (Golf Director at Pirin Golf & Country Club) welcomed the guests and wished them success for the forthcoming tournament.
The awarding ceremony was held in the Members’ Area of the Club House by the president of Pirin Golf & Country Club, Nikolay Kaloyanov and Yordan Kanazirev. Among the participants and guests was Nikolay Dalakov-Executive Director of Belvedere, Alan Rogut (Manager Golf Development in the Bulgarian Golf Association).
First place in division C with 32 net Stable ford points won Nikolay Savov. First in division B ranked the Executive Director of the Belvedere-Nikolay Dalakov with 47 net points. First place in division A won Hristo Chepishev with 68 net Stableford points.
President’s Cup won a representative of the ladies Maya Kuchirkova with the best gross result 76. The winner is one of the best golfers that played in the Pirin Golf & Country Club.
The prizes for the tournament were provided by Pirin Golf & Country Club in cooperation with Balkanstroy AD and Bulgaria Holidays Hotels & Resorts. Our special prize – one lesson with Golf Pro / video analysis included / was for the gross winner.
A lot of the guest of the resort as well as the golf beginners observing the tournament with interest. Pirin Golf organized a special program and entertainments for the children on May 8th. |
